On May 8, the Tevere Remo Rowing Club of Rome inaugurated its historical archive, dedicated to Bruno Delisi, a prominent member of the Club, to whom our family is particularly attached.
We had the honor of participating in this significant event with the restoration of the entrance door to the archive and two doors near one of the entrances to the Casa di Ripetta del Circolo: a project that required precision, care and an artistic touch .
Our task was to create new glass from the old, a process that required several stages.
Initially, we created a rendering of the door, with the club symbol in the center of the upper lunette and the writing "Archivio Storico Bruno Delisi". Subsequently, we received the old glass from the entrance door, whose shapes we detected, transforming them into digital files.
To guarantee maximum precision, we sent plexiglass templates to Rome, which allowed us to be 100% sure of the final result.
After receiving confirmation of the plexiglass, we proceeded with the production of the 04mm extra-clear etched glass, using hot digital printing to reproduce the writing and the club symbol. Finally, on April 29th, we shipped all the glasses, carefully packaged and protected in a wooden crate.
On May 6, the club received the glass and proceeded with the installation.
During the inauguration of the Historical Archive on 8 May 2024, in the presence of the President and the Board of Directors of the association, authorities from the Ministry of Culture, important cultural bodies and a large representation of members, the volume " But do boats have a soul?”, an anthological collection of all the Club's wooden rowing boats, the last work of the late member Bruno Delisi.
Everyone present complimented the work done.
We are proud to have contributed to this important project, which combines history, art and passion for rowing, in memory of a Global Man and great Friend of Zemburg such as Bruno Delisi.
